Dining at the Quonset Hut
Breaking news! Dining at Congaree and Penn’s quonset hut will conclude on Sunday, June 14. Construction will begin this summer and the space will be transformed into a fully enclosed and temperature controlled restaurant – stay tuned for the grand opening of High Horse this winter.
The Debut of The Roost
Congaree and Penn is thrilled to introduce The Roost, a casual open air restaurant featuring a seasonal menu prepared with ingredients sourced from our own farm, farm partners, and artisan purveyors. Enjoy al fresco dining along with farm-made cider, a collection of wines from around the world, and local craft beers on the patio or in the courtyard. Dining at The Roost debuts the evening of Friday, June 19.

Enjoy ample outdoor seating on the covered patio for parties of up to 10 guests. The covered patio is indeed covered and protected from the elements. Fans are available when the weather is warm, and space heaters are available when the weather is cold.

Located on the uncovered patio, fire tables offer cozy lounge seating for parties of up to six guests by reservation only. Full lunch and dinner service are offered at the fire tables. In the case of inclement weather, guests will be reseated indoors or on the covered patio.

Indoor dining is available for parties of up to 10 guests. The dining room is quite cozy – it accommodates one small table for two guests, another large table for up to 10 guests, and bar seating.

Indoor bar seating is available by reservation for one or two guests. Full lunch and dinner service are offered at the bar.

Congaree and Penn’s culinary team offers an intimate six course tasting menu experience among the grapevines under the cover of a pergola with optional added wine pairings for groups of up to 8 guests. Tasting menus change seasonally and include ingredients sourced from our own farm, other local & regional farms, and artisan purveyors. Chef’s Tastings are offered on select Fridays and noted in dark blue on Resy.

Need to Know
A credit card is required to secure a lunch or dinner reservation. A fee of $20 per guest will be charged for no shows and / or cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation time. If you must cancel, please do so at least 24 hours prior to your reservation time. Reservations are rain or shine. If you are concerned about the weather, please refer to your preferred weather source and cancel your reservation at least 24 hours in advance. The covered patio is indeed covered and protected from rain. If you have chosen fire table seating, you will be relocated to an available covered table in the case of rain.
20% gratuity will be added to parties of 6 or more guests. In the interest of good and prompt service, we do not split checks. We encourage the use of Venmo amongst parties. You are also welcome to pay with cash.

Walk-in availability is extremely limited – we highly recommend that reservations are made in advance. Seating is not guaranteed without a reservation.
While our culinary team will do all that they can to accommodate guests with allergies & food intolerances, we are unable to guarantee 100% that our dishes are completely allergen-free because of the many ways allergens can cross-contaminate food.
If you would like to bring your own wine, a corkage fee of $30 per 750 ml bottle will apply. Similar to a corkage fee, an outside dessert fee of $30 will apply.
Farm passes are required for all guests ages two and older to explore the farm beyond the dining area. Farm passes can be purchased upon arrival. We recommend allowing 30 - 60 minutes to enjoy the farm grounds before or after your reservation.
Please note that smoking and vaping are not permitted. Balloons, banners, large decorations, confetti & glitter are also prohibited.

Courtyard seating offers a view of the grapevines for small parties of up to four guests. The courtyard is also covered and protected from the elements.

Dining is al fresco – indoor seating is not offered, but The Roost is covered and protected from the elements. Overhead fans are available during warm weather, and space heaters are available during cool weather. Bar seating is available for walk-in guests on a first come, first served basis.
We kindly request that children are supervised and mindful and respectful of other guests. Please be sure to include children and adults in your guest count. Every person that requires their own seat counts as a guest.

Please note that balloons, confetti, glitter, and large props are not permitted. Gift cards cannot be applied to ticketed reservations, but they can be applied to regular on-site dining, as well as agritourism and retail purchases.
Please arrive on time for your reservation. We will hold your table for a grace period of 15 minutes before offering the reservation to our waitlist.
