Congaree and Penn’s own residents will tell you that waking up on the farm grounds never grows old. As the sun rises on our acres, step outside your bungalow to hear the tunes of songbirds, the rumble of a tractor in the distance, and, of course, the crow of a rooster.

Savor the day by exploring the farm’s trails, rowing through our waterways, bird watching, fishing in the Little Trout River, and visiting the farm animals. Top it all off with a field to fork dinner at our iconic quonset hut, then rest your head among the oak hammock.

Rates

  • Nightly stays at the Hammock begin at $350 for two guests. A two night minimum is required for all stays unless otherwise noted. Some holidays may require a three night minimum. Friday and Saturday must be booked together. 

    Rates are available for a double occupancy stay. Single occupancy rates are not offered.

    Bungalow rates are inclusive of up to two guests (all bungalows are double occupancy). An optional guest cot is available in certain bungalows for one additional guest for an additional cost of $100 per night.

Policies

  • Payment in full (including taxes & fees) will be charged at the time of booking to confirm the reservation. Incidentals will be collected on the day of departure.

  • Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly – therefore, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. Cancellations made at least 31 days prior to arrival will be granted a voucher for the amount of the deposit, less a $100 per person cancellation fee. The voucher will expire one year from the original arrival date.

    If your reservation is canceled within 30 days of arrival, the entire deposit will be forfeited. In the case of severe weather (like an active hurricane), your reservation will be canceled and a voucher will be granted for future reservations to be utilized within one year of the original arrival date.

    We strongly suggest that all guests ensure they have adequate cancellation and travel insurance prior to booking with us. While we certainly do our best to support our guests who find themselves in unforeseen circumstances, we do not offer refunds, and due to our small size, our cancellation policy is strictly enforced. This is why travel insurance is an integral part of your trip planning. Most travel policies will cover cancellation due to sudden illness, a death in the family, or flight cancellations / delays due to weather and more.

  • It is recommended that children staying at Congaree and Penn are at least 10-years-old.  

    While Congaree and Penn can be a unique and enjoyable experience for families with children, it is not specifically geared toward children and may not be ideal for all families. Please keep in mind that dinner at Congaree and Penn is meant for an adult atmosphere centered on a farm to table dining experience. A children’s menu is not offered.

  • Bungalow rates are inclusive of up to two guests (all bungalows are double occupancy). An optional guest cot is available in certain bungalows for one additional guest for an additional cost of $100 per night (plus taxes).

    Children ages two and older qualify as a guest.

  • Well behaved canines are welcome at Congaree and Penn. Prior notification is required in order to bring your dog. A fee of $50 (plus taxes) per canine per night will apply. Up to two dogs per bungalow are permitted. Not all bungalows are dog friendly. While on property, dogs must remain leashed at all times. Dogs must not be left unattended at any time. Canines are welcome on the restaurant patio and on the farm grounds. Please inquire about other pets for approval.

  • Check in is between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm and checkout is before 12:00 pm.

  • Dinner is offered at Congaree and Penn’s restaurant Thursday through Sunday and available for an additional fee by reservation. While picnic lunches are included within the nightly rate, lunch is also offered for an additional fee by reservation on Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast staples are stocked in each bungalow. 

  • Guests must report dietary restrictions and / or food allergies upon booking to ensure that Congaree and Penn’s culinary team can provide accommodations.

  • Congaree and Penn is a smoke free farm. Smoking and vaping are prohibited both indoors and outdoors.

FAQ

  • Congaree and Penn is located in Jacksonville, Florida. The farm is located on the north side of the city – it is 20 minutes from the Jacksonville Airport, 20 minutes from downtown, 25 minutes from the Riverside, Avondale & San Marco neighborhoods, and 45 minutes from the beaches.

  • Free parking is offered at the parking lot at the entrance of the farm. A porter will be available to escort you and your guest(s) via golf cart to the Hammock upon arrival. Golf carts are available for rental.

    Please note that guest vehicles are not permitted on the farm grounds.

  • Yes! Complimentary wifi is available in the bungalows, at the restaurant, and at the farm shop.

  • Congaree and Penn does not offer televisions as an ammenity. We encourage you to disconnect, but If you’re hankering to watch a movie, you can of course do so on your own device.

  • We provide housekeeping before check in and after check out, but not during the duration of your stay. Please inquire anytime if you need extra linens, bath products, or anything else you might need.

  • We offer limited room service during our restaurant’s hours of operation.
