Venue Fee

  • Rates include up to five hours of access (including setup, event & teardown). Additional access is $250 per hour.

What’s Included 

Access

Guests are granted exclusive access to The Roost and its amenities. Guests may also enjoy the farm grounds* beyond the venue.

*Wedding ceremonies on the farm grounds will require an additional site fee.

Enjoy menus curated by Congaree and Penn’s culinary team, and a selection of thoughtfully chosen wines, local beer, and cider produced at the farm.

Outside food & beverages are not permitted.

Sales Tax + Gratuity

Sales tax and 20% gratuity will apply to food & beverage.

Add on services + Vendors

Congaree and Penn offers add on services like looping wagon rides, golf cart rentals, and overnight stays at The Hammock. Event coordinators, musicians, florists, photographers, and other vendors are the responsibility of the client.

FAQ

  • Yes – the minimum is $40 per guest.

  • No. Congaree and Penn requires the use of our own culinary and beverage programs. All food, including dessert, must be purchased through Congaree and Penn and all nonalcoholic beverages, beer, wine, and / or cider will be served and sold by Congaree and Penn. 

    Clients may supply their own liquor with an additional service and liability fee (in addition to the beer, wine, and cider fee). Liquor shots are prohibited. 

  • All rentals must be delivered, set up, torn down, and removed within the contracted timeframe on the day of the event. Congaree and Penn is not responsible for coordinating delivery, receipt, and / or setup or teardown of rentals.

  • Decorate as you please! We do not allow anything to be applied to our walls or trees that will cause damage. If you choose to use candles, we require that they be contained to prevent damage to our surfaces. Confetti, glitter, and balloons are not permitted. All decorations must be removed without leaving damages.

  • Because we are the venue, we focus exclusively on making sure the space, food, and beverages are prepared for your event. We do not provide coordination before or during the event. Therefore, we highly encourage clients to hire a professional event coordinator noted on our Vendors We Love list. You are also welcome to appoint an event host who acts as the coordinator.

  • Because The Roost is an open air outdoor venue, Congaree and Penn does not permit subwoofers or amplified music that exceeds 75 decibels. While we always recommend acoustic bands, low amplification that does not exceed 75 decibels is permitted. Music via Spotify or Amazon playlists may also be played through our house Sonos music system. Only approved musicians are permitted.

  • We do not. You are welcome to provide your own!

  • To secure a date, please email hello@congareeandpenn.com for assistance. A signed booking agreement and a nonrefundable deposit are due immediately to reserve the date of your event.

    The deposit is $5,000 for events occurring on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, and the deposit is $2,500 for events occurring on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

    Remaining fees are due at least 14 days before the event date. Payment may be made via ACH bank transfer or credit card. Credit card payments will incur a three percent surcharge.
