  • Event access from 11:00 am - 9:00 pm. Setup may begin as early as 10:00 am and teardown must be completed by 10:00 pm.

  • $30 per guest for up to three hours of service. Additional hours of bar service are $5 per guest per hour. Choose up to four selections of wine. Local beer and cider will also be available on draft.

  • The following services are available only as an add-on to the wine, beer & cider package. Add on services cannot be added to cash bar service.

    Congaree and Penn can use a selected beer, wine, or cider to create the welcome beverage. When add on liquor service has been selected, liquor can be used to create the welcome beverage.

  • Event guests purchase their own beverages from Congaree and Penn’s regular beverage menu, or the event host provides a credit card before bar service begins. Cash bars are limited to wine, beer, cider, and non alcoholic beverages. Liquor is not permitted. 20% gratuity will be automatically added.

FAQ

  • Yes – if you choose to use Congaree and Penn’s culinary services, the food minimum at The Roost is $40 per guest.

  • You are welcome to hire an approved food truck. The food truck must provide a certificate of insurance to Congaree and Penn. You and / or the food truck must provide your own service wares (napkins, dinnerware, flatware, etc.). Congaree and Penn will provide trash cans for guests to properly dispose of waste. Coordination of the food truck arrival, setup, service, and departure is the responsibility of the client and / or their event coordinator. 

  • No. Congaree and Penn requires the use of our own beverage program. All nonalcoholic beverages, beer, wine, and / or cider will be served and sold by Congaree and Penn. 

    Clients may supply their own liquor with an additional service and liability fee (in addition to the beer, wine, and cider fee). Liquor shots are prohibited. 

  • All rentals must be delivered, set up, torn down, and removed within the contracted timeframe on the day of the event. Congaree and Penn is not responsible for coordinating delivery, receipt, and / or setup or teardown of rentals.

  • Decorate as you please! We do not allow anything to be applied to our walls or trees that will cause damage. If you choose to use candles, we require that they be contained to prevent damage to our surfaces. Confetti, glitter, and balloons are not permitted. All decorations must be removed without leaving damages.

  • Because we are the venue, we focus exclusively on making sure the space, food (if applicable), and beverages are prepared for your event. We do not provide coordination before or during the event. Therefore, we highly encourage clients to hire a professional event coordinator noted on our Vendors We Love list. You are also welcome to appoint an event host who acts as the coordinator.

  • Because The Roost is an open air outdoor venue, Congaree and Penn does not permit subwoofers or amplified music that exceeds 75 decibels. While we always recommend acoustic bands, low amplification that does not exceed 75 decibels is permitted. Music via Spotify or Amazon playlists may also be played through our house Sonos music system. Only approved musicians are permitted.

  • We do not. You are welcome to provide your own!

  • To secure a date, please email hello@congareeandpenn.com for assistance. A signed booking agreement and a nonrefundable deposit are due immediately to reserve the date of your event.

    The deposit is $5,000 for events occurring on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, and the deposit is $2,500 for events occurring on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

    Remaining fees are due at least 14 days before the event date. Payment may be made via ACH bank transfer or credit card. Credit card payments will incur a three percent surcharge.
