Just 20 minutes away from Jacksonville’s urban core, Congaree and Penn began as a rice farm on the Northside of Jacksonville, Florida. It’s continued to flourish into acres of Mayhaw orchards, you pick vines, and has become a home to farm animals and thousands of honeybees. It’s also become a destination for weddings and other events. We’ve hosted Jacksonville’s famous Legend Series, our own famous Friday Night Fish Fry, farm to table dinners, fundraisers and other celebrations.
Fall is our favorite time of year at the farm. It's also our busiest. Between fall harvests, Open Farm Days, our olive oil conference, and our famous Friday Night Fish Fry, we have an event for everyone. Be sure to snag your ticket to November's Friday Night Fish Fry (they sell out quickly)! Tickets go on sale October 10th.
Just twenty minutes from downtown Jacksonville, Congaree and Penn is a nearby destination that feels otherworldly. Guests wine and dine al fresco beneath the Congaree and Penn quonset hut patio overlooking the farm. The unmatched variety of farm crops, animals, architectural uniqueness, and Southern charm provides a beautiful backdrop with little need for added decoration. We grant full use of the front fifteen acres of the farm, so your imagination can run wild. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out the form below for more information.
Congaree and Penn offers tours for everyone, from kindergartens to garden clubs, high school students to corporate retreaters. We emphasize a seed to mouth and field to fork full circle understanding of food production. Congaree and Penn strives to share an ethic of environmental stewardship and sustainability, exemplified in our farming practices.
We kindly request groups of twelve or more. We’re happy to tour smaller parties, but please keep in mind that Congaree and Penn’s minimum farm tour fee is $100.
